Jennifer Lawrence Proves (Once Again) She’s No Dior Girl in This New Handbag Campaign (Forum Buzz)

Ever since Jennifer Lawrence’s debut advertising campaign for Christian Dior in 2013, our forums have had a love/hate relationship with each image, which begs the question: Is Jennifer a Dior girl? Last season’s campaign was deemed a total flop and the images for Fall 2016 don’t seem to show that much of an improvement. Photographed by Patrick Demarchelier once again, the actress is no doubt very comfortable in the iconic French fashion house’s designs by now, showcasing Dior’s newest handbag collection. Insisting on giving us more of the same, J.Law flashes a similar expression shot after shot while posing in the studio, letting the wonderful lighting take over.

Members of our forums weren’t feeling it. “So, she is back at being sophisticated again. Louis Vuitton and Dior should switch their spokeswomen. Jennifer Lawrence for Vuitton and L?a for Dior. The bags…uninspired and tacky. The Dior logo worked in 2000-2004,” Lola701 said at once.

“The bags and the first coat are ugly,” added abstraccion.

Also not a fan of the handbags was zoom, stating, “Can’t get past those bags tho…”

TaylorBinque was in the same frame of mind. “The level of Photoshop skill is worse than an intern. As much as the direction seems to be good, these bags need to go to trash. And those monogram bags deserved their own campaign. I was hoping they would do something fun,” he wrote in disappointment.

In agreement over the apparent airbrushing was testinofan, crying out, “Too much Photoshop, and the photos look very Paolo Roversi.”

“I hope she gets fired now that Raf is no longer at Dior,” stated Wintergreen.

“It’s getting worse every season. She is NOT a Dior girl,” agreed narcyza, feeling the same way toward Jennifer’s contract.
